Campneosa

The Challenge

Tie into the existing effluent outfall structure to replace the existing WWTP service at Camp Neosa that is impacted by seasonal flooding of Leesville Lake. Provide nitrification with a low maintenance (operational) system.

The Design

The wastewater treatment process used is our Complete Mixed Fixed Film (CMFF®), aka moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR). The package treatment plant and the CMFF® process is a standalone biological treatment system, with no need for sludge recycle. Solids separation is required and is achieved by conventional means of gravity settling.  Solids are directly wasted without return sludge to the biological process.

The Neosa Salvation Army Camp Process is a two stage aerobic process followed by gravity clarification as shown.

Achievements

Neosa Sc1
